Protecting Our Water, Protecting Our Way of Life
Ossipee's lakes and ponds are why so many of us are here, but right now, local families have fewer places than ever to actually enjoy them. Duncan Lake's Cleveland Beach has struggled with water quality. Mill Pond sits drained with no plan to refill it. Ossipee Lake itself has no public beach at all, just one overcrowded boat ramp that residents often can't even use.
Morgan will work to bring state resources home to restore Cleveland Beach, get Mill Pond repaired and refilled, and improve public access to Ossipee Lake for locals, such as charging a non-resident parking fee at the Pine River boat ramp, so our residents, not just visitors, get to enjoy the water Ossipee is known for. Protecting and restoring our natural resources is vital to the future welfare of our community’s health, the local economy, and our lifestyle. And Morgan will do it the right way - partnering with property owners through voluntary programs that protect water quality without dictating what people do with their own land.
Our lakes built this community. It's time our town's own families got to enjoy them again.
